Creating Your Account
- Download Evenspoon from the App Store
- Tap “Create Account”
- Enter your email address
- Choose a memorable 6-digit PIN
- Confirm your PIN and you’re ready to start rating!
Signing In
- Enter your email and 6-digit PIN
- Your credentials are stored securely on your device
- Forgot your PIN? Contact support – we’ll help you reset it
🎵 Using Evenspoon
Rating Albums
- 7-Point Scale: Choose from “Can’t Stand” (1) to “Top 10” (7)
- Change Anytime: Tap an album to update your rating
- Clear Ratings: Tap “Clear Rating” to remove your score
- Top 10 Special: Albums rated “Top 10” appear in your profile
Browsing Albums
- Released vs Upcoming: Toggle between current releases and future drops
- Search Everything: Search album names, artists, descriptions, and RIYL suggestions
- Filter by Rating: Show only albums with community ratings above your threshold
- Sort Options: By release date, community rating, or alphabetically
Album Information
- About: Description of the album’s style and significance
- Song to Start: Our recommended track for first-time listeners
- RIYL: “Recommended If You Like” – similar artists to help you discover
- Community Rating: Average score from all user ratings
Submitting Albums
- Tap the “+” button in the Albums tab
- Fill in album name and artist (required)
- Add optional info: RIYL artists, song recommendations, description
- Set the release date
- Submit for review
👤 Your Profile
Viewing Your Stats
- Average Rating: Your overall rating tendency
- Albums Rated: Total number of albums you’ve scored
- Top 10 List: All albums you’ve rated as “Top 10” favorites
Privacy & Data
- Your email address stays private
- Individual ratings are anonymous in community averages
- You can request data deletion anytime
🔧 Troubleshooting
- App Won’t Load Albums
- Check your internet connection
- Force close and reopen the app
- Update to the latest version from the App Store
- Ratings Not Saving
- Ensure you have internet connectivity when rating
- Try rating again – the app will retry automatically
- Contact support if the issue persists
- Search Not Working
- Make sure you’re connected to the internet
- Try different search terms
- Clear and retype your search
- Can’t Sign In
- Double-check your email address
- Ensure your PIN is exactly 6 digits
- Try typing slowly to avoid input errors
- Contact support if you’re still locked out
- Forgot My PIN
- Unfortunately, PINs cannot be recovered for security
- Contact support with your email address
- We can help you create a new account if needed
- Want to Change My Email
- Contact support – we can help transfer your ratings
- You may need to create a new account
